We made it to Romania! We are now in Bucharest & met up with the rest of our team last night, praise the Lord!
Today we got acquainted with two deaf Romanian ladies. One of them has an incredible sense of humor – God definitely gave her a gift. We all think she should become a stand up comedian.
We ministered at a local deaf church here this evening. We did drama & Pastor Noah gave a brief message. At the beginning of the service, the deaf woman who led us in singing included a pretty unique verse in the song, “Jesus loves deaf people & Jesus loves hearing people.” A long history of misunderstanding has caused some deaf people to think that Jesus is only for people who can hear, so it is crucial that they understand that Jesus loves them too! Praise the Lord that this truth is being proclaimed in Bucharest.
Tomorrow we are going to a deaf club, so please pray for us as we develop friendships with the deaf people there! The other members of our team who just arrived are feeling really wiped out from their trip, so please pray for our rest as well.
When we arrived, they told us to be careful of the traffic, because sometimes the cars don’t stop. We were a bit incredulous until two members of our team told us that they see people hit by cars frequently. Please pray for God’s protection over us as we commute to different locations.
Thank you so much! We’ll blog more soon!
